Inire and Kit Young have taken the collective name h-art-ig.net. A Hartig Net is a mycorrhizal network that facilitates exchange between fungi and plant. It is a critical interface between very different life forms, allowing them to enter into a symbiotic relationship of mutual flourishing.
Our goals with h-art-ig.net collective are similar; to form and facilitate relationships with artists, places, and cultures that are different from each other. Difference precipitates a flow of information and creative exchange. h-art-ig.net uses extensive site research and audio/video field recordings to create a new work for each performance location.
