This is a collaborative and improvisational project between sound artist Allen Moore and myself. We worked remotely, via zoom, from Chicago and Berkeley respectively. As a Black artist, Allen explores how Black identity manifests in national media throughout our history, and how those manifestations reverberate in him personally. As a "White" artist and self proclaimed race traitor, I am keenly aware of how the media polarizes and stigmatizes our difference. In our collaboration we seek to produce an art of subversion and liberation, and to model radical human behavior.
